“…The discussion of issues and techniques within the studio and theoretical studies is greatly enhanced by the diversity of cultural insight and varied ways of working…This leads to expansion of [students’] understanding and to new lines of inquiry.”

Internationalization is one of Lund University's strategies to achieve the vision of standing among the very best European universities. Lund University welcomes over 3000 international Masters and exchange students to Lund University every year.
The International Masters in Sustainable Urban Design Programme at Lund University prides itself at having a high diversity within its student body. Classes are often composed of students from multiple nationalities, including India, Thailand, Canada, Germany, Kosovo, Iran and China. Students of the programme also come from diverse design backgrounds, including landscape architecture, architecture and city planning.
This diverse community enriches the design education. Students present examples of urbanism, architecture and culture from their home countries, and these experiences enrich the discourse of the programme. Examples of urban morphology and social and environmental sensitivities are drawn on from around the globe.
